You don’t need to do fancy things to find ways to improve your health. It all starts with the basics.
My clients often ask me what the best thing they can do to improve their health is and I think my answer surprises them.
I’m not a doctor and certainly don’t give medical advice, but I do suggest some simple things that they can do to look and feel better.
If you’re struggling with the same question and just want to feel better already, I bet that these 7 suggestions will help you too.
Improve Your Health With These Easy Tricks
1. Drink More Water
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, you need to drink water. Most people need to drink about half of their body weight in ounces. So, if you weigh 220 pounds, you should be drinking about 110 ounces of water a day. It will help your organs function properly, make your skin less wrinkled, and help improve your daily activities.

2. Move It
Get up, walk around, move! Aim for increasing your daily mileage a half mile each day until you’re up to four or five miles. Not only will you be getting exercise, you’ll be losing weight too!
3. Make Wise Choices
Instead of going for the bag of chips when you’re hungry in the afternoon, try a more nutritious option instead. The small choices eventually have a big impact, so choose wisely.
4. Go to the Doctor
Visit your doctor this year. Schedule an appointment for a check-up to make sure that your body is working properly.
5. Laugh More
Laughter improves your mood and disposition, as well as improving your body’s ability to ward off stress. So, laugh more – even forced laughter can have some great health benefits!
6. Breath
When was the last time you sat silently and took a deep, calming breath? The kind that fills your lungs completely and expels not only carbon dioxide, but negativity and stress. Stop right now and take one. Breathe in deeply and slowly through your nose and then exhale completely through your mouth. It feels amazing doesn’t it?! Do more of that!
7. Pray
Spend time praying – whether it’s while you’re running on the treadmill or sitting quietly with a cup of tea in the early morning hours. The peace and grounding you experience will help settle you for the rest of the day.
The most important thing to remember about being healthier is that it’s a lifelong journey. There are no quick fixes, no miracle diets or medicines. Your choices and commitment to being healthier are what will, in the long run, lead to the most significant changes of all.
